FAQs

The insurance company has sent out an adjuster. Why do I need one of my own?

Insurance companies encourage adjusters to protect their interests and not their policyholders when adjusting claims. Adjusters tend to minimize losses to protect the position of the insurance company. Moreover, before insurance companies release payments for losses, the policyholder must quantify and document their loss. Most people do not know how this process works because they do not have knowledge of the claims process, standard insurance practices, and policyholders’ rights. Negotiating for what you expect to be paid for your losses versus what the insurance company adjuster offers can be much less without an experienced professional working for you. Hiring your own adjuster will ensure RC Advantage will be your advocate in the claims process and that you will receive the maximum amount you are owed for your loss.

Why should I retain a public adjuster to obtain what is rightfully due to me?

Your insurance company adjuster does not provide you with the detailed information you will need to prepare your claim properly in order to receive the maximum settlement due to you. It is up to you to fight for a settlement in your favor. By hiring a public adjuster, you can rest assured that your claim will be properly prepared and submitted to your insurance company so you receive all that is rightfully due to you under your policy. After hiring RC Advantage to be your public adjuster, your insurance company adjuster will be advised that as your representative RC Advantage will communicate with their company in tandem with the policyholder in order to protect the insured’s right to a fair settlement.

How will a public adjuster help me throughout the claim?

RC Advantage will prepare, negotiate and settle your claim. In the early stages of your claim, we will do a policy review to identify all available policy coverages and develop a strategy to maximize your settlement. Oftentimes, the insurance company will utilize outside people, including salvors, contractors and accountants to prepare the evaluation of your loss. RC Advantage will fight against improper interpretation by the insurance company people and expedite payments to you.

After years of handling claims for our clients, RC Advantage understands the difficulty and hardships experienced after a devastating loss. In addition to our insurance expertise, we provide support and consultations to our clients throughout their claim.
